Logging into Cisco Phones

 

 

This document describes how to log into Cisco desk phones which will change the phones lines on the phone to a preconfigured device profile.  This is mainly used in the City of Flagstaff system by customer service to interact with the Finesse system.  Current customer service device profile individual and Finesse line pairs are detailed at the bottom of this document.   The phone lines must match the extension starting with 4xxx that they are utilizing to log into Finesse or they will receive the following error;

 

 

When a user logs out of a phone, the phone will revert to the lines configured for that phone.

Logging into a phone

 

Older Phones (7900 series)

  • Press the Services button
  • Select Extension Mobility (name can vary)
  • Enter your user ID and PIN
  • If prompted, select a device profile
  • To Logout:  Press the Services button, scroll down and select Extension Mobility, press Yes to logout

Newer Phones (7800 series)

  • Press the Applications button https://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/i/300001-400000/380001-390000/381001-382000/381337.tif/_jcr_content/renditions/381337.jpg
  • Select Extension Mobility (name can vary)
  • Enter your user ID and PIN
  • If prompted, select a device profile.
  • To Logout: Press the Applications button, scroll down and select Extension Mobility, press Yes to logout
